Helping to Keep Knowledge of Tibetan Culture Alive and Available Since 2010

The London Institute of Tibetan Studies was established as part of the Shang Shung Foundation in 2010 and since then has been delivering world class conferences, lectures, courses and study materials on a wide range of Tibet related topics, particularly language, medicine, arts, history and culture. More recently we included Insight Tours in our portfolio of activities, where we carefully tailor trips to countries with a strong Buddhist history including Tibet.

We have collaborated with several prestigious organisations in the UK such as the V&A on art conservation courses, SOAS for conferences and lectures, and ASIA House on book launches and presentations.

Most recently we have established a physical base for our activities in the form of Lekdanling Tibetan Cultural Centre in East London in collaboration with the Dzogchen Community UK where we keep our shop and hold events and courses.

The SSIUK is a nonprofit organisation that relies on your support to continue and develop. We hope that this report serves to inspire you, and we would like to invite you to actively participate in our work through donations, sponsorship and legacies. You can see details of how you may do this on the last page of this booklet. With our very best wishes.
