The spontaneous presence arising from moment to moment is the source that creates our internal and external world.

Explanation and Practice Retreat with Elio Guarisco and Dina Priymak

When sensations and thoughts emerge from that source, our experiences, concepts, and relationships take shape. But how many of us remain connected to that spontaneous presence when sentiments, emotions, and thoughts come up and when we interact with others and the world?

Reawakening our spontaneous presence and familiarizing ourselves with it so we can remain connected to it and recall it in any circumstance is the basis of our sense of fulfillment and our personal evolution. The evolution of each individual is fundamental for the evolution of society as a whole.

In this course, Elio Guarisco will guide us as we reconnect with our physical existence, our interior energy, our emotions, and our mind to experience the effects of healing on our body and mind and open up new opportunities of evolution.

We will apply increasingly profound methods of meditation combined with exercises related to breathing and movement, guided by Dina Priymak.

Anyone can benefit from these methods, whether they have already had some form of experience with meditation or none at all.

Elio Guarisco

Elio was born in Varese, Italy, on 5 August 1954 and grew up in Como. He studied art and received a Master of Arts before traveling to India to study Buddhism. On his return from India he moved to Switzerland, where for ten years he learned Tibetan language and Buddhist philosophy under one of the Dalai Lama’s philosophical advisors. Elio joined the Dzogchen community in 1986, when he received teachings from Chögyal Namkhai Norbu for the first time.

Invited by the late Kalu Rinpoche, Elio spent almost twenty years in India working on the large encyclopedia on Indo-Tibetan knowledge known as Shes bya kun khyab (Myriad Worlds,Buddhist Ethics, Systems of Buddhist Tantra, The Elements of Tantric Practice) authored by Kongtrul the Great, published in separate volumes by Snow Lion Publications. During this time Elio continued to actively collaborate with the Dzogchen Community and especially with the Shang Shung Institute in Italy, of which he is a founding member.

Elio has worked on various translations for the Shang Shung Institute in Italy, including several books by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu relating to Tibetan medicine. He has completed several levels of the Santi Maha Sangha training, and became an authorized teacher of the base, first, and second level. Since 2003, Elio has been one of the three principal translators for the Ka-ter project of the Shang Shung Institute of Austria. Aside from serving as instructor for the Training for Translators from Tibetan program, he also works for the Dzogchen Tantra Translation Project. Read More

Since she was a child she tried many different types of sports (gymnastic at age 4; springboard and platform diving when she was 6 years old; biathlon at age 11, when she moved with her parents to the central part of Russia) until she finally discovered Hatha Yoga at age 12 and started to be interested in the Oriental Philosophy.

Dina began to practice Yantra Yoga when she met her Master, Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, in 2002. Since then, she found what she had been looking for. Thanks to various courses and Teacher Trainings held by the Senior Teachers of Yantra Yoga, Fabio Andrico and Laura Evangelisti, she became I Level instructor of Yantra Yoga in 2010. She had a chance to collaborate for the video projects "The Tibetan Yoga of Movement: Level I and Level II" and for the DVD "The 108 Movements of Vairochana's Yantra Yoga" released by the Shang Shung Publications in 2011.

In 2017, Dina was supervised for the II Level of Yantra Yoga and was also authorized to teach Kumar Kumari, the Yantra Yoga for boys and girls.
