Tibetan Calligraphy Course

with Giorgio Dallorto

In this intensive course Giorgio will give an introduction to the thirty letters of the Tibetan Uchen alphabet, with their specific proportions, sequence of strokes and writing technique. Particular attention will be given to the study of the intrinsic potentiality of the letters of the Tibetan alphabet, with a deepening of some seed syllables and mantras diffused in the Tibetan tradition. The course is open to everyone, both to people interested in studying the Tibetan language and to art and calligraphy enthusiasts in general.

A calligraphy pen and calligraphy sheets will be provided, included in the cost. Registration is mandatory.

Giorgio Dallorto

A student of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu since the seventies, Giorgio Dallorto has always been passionate about Tibetan culture. In recent years he has devoted himself particularly to the study of Indo-Tibetan history and art, deepening his knowledge with frequent trips to India and Nepal. For a long time he has studied the classical Tibetan language and calligraphy with Fabian Sanders and Tashi Mannox respectively. Read More
