To learn the Vajra Dance one should follow a course led by a qualified teacher authorized by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu.

The courses can be for beginners or for advanced practitioners.

Basic Course – For beginners who want to learn the steps and the main arm movements. The “Dance of the Three Vajras” and the “Dance of the Vajra that Benefits Beings” generally require a three-day course for each dance. The “Dance of the Song of the Vajra” is normally divided into two parts which require a course of 6 or 7 days each. It can be also organized over a series of weekends.

It is beneficial to repeat basic courses to familiarize oneself with the steps and the main movements of the dance. Sometimes these courses are also focused on specific topics such as arm movements, mudras etc.

Deepening Course – For practitioners who already have a stable basic knowledge of one of the dances and want to study more in depth its movements, mudras and timing, or refresh their knowledge.

Advanced Course – For practitioners who know the dance well and wish to refine the coordination and fluidity of movement with time, including in-depth study of the choreography and harmonics between male and female dancers.
